If you haven’t heard William Shatner belt out Pulp’s Common People, then I feel sorry for you my friend. Fortunately, through the magic of YouTube, there are plenty of versions available including this custom video (I actually prefer Shat’s version).

Now take it a step further and put those words into the mouth’s of Archie and his gang and you get this brilliant piece of humor from Chris’s Invincible Super-Blog.

Oh, Rodrigo! It’s no wonder you are the favorite member of the Major Spoilers Podcast panel.

Otaku USA has a great article on how to review manga titles the correct way.

This could really catch on, and I’m thinking to help the movement, Major Spoilers should set up our own comic book tasting marathons. Of course we’d turn it into a drinking game with the following rules:

Take a drink when:

• Batman is a dick
• Superman strikes a pose to instill fear in the enemy
• Wolverine appears in a title
• someone in the room shouts “I’m not a Skrull, I swear!”
• there is a reference to Tom Welling or Tom Welling Prime
• someone complains that we are spoiling everything by giving away “too much”
• Matthew tries to push Legion of Super-Heroes issues off on unsuspecting attendees
• someone complains that the new writer isn’t as good as the old writer
• someone exclaims the new writer is way better than the old writer
• someone begins to get a little too excited about Power Girl’s costume
• Spider-Man complains about how terrible his life has become
• Aunt May nearly dies, but recovers at the last minute
• Holly Robinson appears (probably a result of too many drinks)

Feel free to add your own to the list.

I hope this doesn’t get everyone yelling “Sell Out!” at the top of their lungs. Although if someone is paying for this spot, investing in some better equipment might be a good idea.

What if the Skrulls invading the 616 Universe where not 616 Skrulls but 6160 Skrulls?

Hey, everyone! Stacy B. here, and over the last couple of months I’ve been pouring over every Marvel issue hoping to unlock the secret of the Skrull Invasion. We’ve already seen the various Marvel Universes cross over (as chronicled in Ultimate Fantastic Four and Marvel Zombies), but what if the merging of universes went beyond zombies who want to eat our brains? What if the Skrull invasion were actually coming from the 6160 universe?

Do I sound crazy? Well hang on to your little aluminum hat, because here we go!
