Halloween is not too far off - especially if you have visited one of those large retail chains recently - and Major Spoilers will have another costume contest this year with big prizes. Also getting into the Halloween spirit is Archie Comics, who sent us the cover images and solicitations for two “spooktacular” issues shipping in September.

Really? DC Comics has announced issues #2 and #3 have sold out and will be heading back to the printer for a second run.

“I’m both slightly stunned and incredibly gratified at the fan response to FREDDY VS. JASON VS. ASH,” says cowriter Jeff Katz. “Obviously, I always believed in the commercial and creative potential of this match-up, but to see it received with such intense enthusiasm has made for one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I feel like a proud father, and I’m incredibly happy for James, Jason and Thomas because I know this project means as much to them as it does to me. DC, Wildstorm and Dynamite have done a tremendous job with this book and I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we appreciate the support — and the best is truly yet to come.”

The second printing of the issues will arrive February 13, 2008.
