It’s really odd that we’re getting a lot of Green Lantern news on this Monday, but we’ll roll with it with this collection of screen shots of GL from the upcoming DC Universe Online game from Sony Online Entertainment.  Plus for the fun of it, we’ve thrown in some non GL images as well.  Take the jump for a mega-gallery of images from the game.

BrickCon 2008, a LEGO convention, just wrapped at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall, and one of the biggest and most interesting displays featured LEGO zombies shuffling through the city devouring brains and causing mayhem.  It’s totally awesome, and is the reason why every child should play with LEGO as they grow up (and why many adults should never stop playing with LEGO).

Check out the awesome gallery after the jump.

Take the jump for more about the event, plus a gallery of images too.

We are starting to see some images float in from the various Free Comic Book Day events that took place across the country.

First up is Comic Book Ink from Takoma, Washington that celebrated its sixth FCBD.

  • The store gave away a ton of free posters from Regal Cinemas
  • Artist Jesse Munoz cranked out 65 sketches for those that stopped by the store
  • 8,000 comics were given away, and Comic Book Ink had enough left over to donate the extras to Oakwood Elementary School and mary Bridge Children’s Hospital (Way to go guys!)
  • and yes, there were plenty of costumed heroes waiting to get in the door when the store opened.

The complete gallery after the jump.

In case you are wondering, that represents the sum total of my purchases at the Kansas City Planet ComiCon. One of the bad things about trying to collect high quality back issues from the early to mid Silver Age is you end up spending a lot of money – A LOT OF MONEY. I can’t believe how much I went through in just one hour, and barely scratched my want list.
