I swear one of these weeks, I’m going to run nothing but Dustin Ngueyn art every day. His stuff is so amazing, that I could stare at it for hours upon end. While I’m sure it would upset some, here’s a least a one day look at Dustin’s Huntress and Manbat double-page spread. SWEET!
It’s pretty obvious that we are big fans of Dustin Nguyen’s artwork, and we’ve even featured his Lil’Batman sketches on the site before. DC Entertainment must also like the look as as they are allowing Dustin and writer Derek Fridolfs team for a two two-page shorts spotlighting Lil’Gotham in the Detective Comics and Batman Annuals.

Haven’t featured Dustin Nguyen’s work on the site in a while, so why not feature the cover to Batman: Streets of Gotham #7? It’s a perfect time to showcase his latest work.
One of Major Spoilers favorite artists is Dustin Nguyen. The Streets of Gotham artist will have this very cool Gotham City Girls poster at his booth at the show, and it looks great. I really hope a Major Spoilerite picks up a couple for me!

There are so many titles and issues that float through Stately Spoiler Manor that getting through all of them in a single week seems overwhelming. Fortunately there are some issues that rise to the top as must reads (Blackest Night, RASL, and Unthinkable to name a few). This is the case with the second installment of Batman: Streets of Gotham where the streets have been set a flame by Firefly.

I simply can’t get enough of Dustin Nguyen’s art – especially when it’s the Streets of Gotham cover featuring Batman and The Huntress, among others.

Today’s sneak peek of Batman: Streets of Gotham had me yearning to share some more Dustin Nguyen art on the site. Dustin has been featuring a series of Battle for the Cowl pieces on his Deviant Art page, and I like ‘em all. Great exaggerated caricatures of some of Batman’s friends and foes.

I’m really excited to see Dustin Nguyen and Paul Dini team back up for some really good Batman stories, and apparently DC wants to feed that appetite with a sneak peek of Batman: Streets of Gotham #1 that arrives June 17, 2009.
While I love Dustin doing his thing in Detective Comics, I think it would be really interesting to see how he would handle Marvel’s Runaways series. A new creator group is on board the series right now, but maybe, just maybe down the road, Dustin may have a chance to bring his version of Nico to life.
i was at a hotgirl meeting this morning, and it was agreed- batwings instantly add 200% hotness.
then the meeting was adjourned when we were raided by not so hot members with rat tails and pigfeet.

I’ve been away from the DeviantArt scene for a while, so I’ve been failing ot check in with what Detective Comics artist Dustin Nguyen was up to. Here are two spectacular pieces he’s completed recently; one for an upcoming Detective Comics cover, and another simply titled Red Carpet.

The Talented Mr. Elliot

We are now well within the time period between when Batman disappeared, and the time when he will rise once again to strike fear in the hearts of the wicked and the vile. Who will fill those shoes is yet to be revealed, yet until the dawn of the Big Cowling as it will be called (I got nothin’), DC still has comics to sell. The last time we saw Paul Dini writing Batman, he was wrapping up his Heart of Hush story line. The ending saw Thomas Elliot penniless, and wander the streets of Gotham. How’s he going to rise and become a major player once again? Detective Comics #852 reveals the first part of his plan.

How awesome is Dustin Nguyen? Do you really need yet another example?
Okay, since you asked, take the jump for the pencils from Detective Comics #850 featuring Hush’s discovery of the Batcave.
Awesomeness Ahead!

It’s too bad DC didn’t take a long hard look at what Paul Dini was doing in the pages of Detective Comics and make the executive decision to turn his Heart of Hush story into the final Batman story. Instead of a whacked out tale, Dini takes the legend of Batman and brings it back to the one thing that can save any hero, heal any wound, and thwart the worst of people – love.
Man this pin-up by Dustin Nguyen is smoking!

I want this as a poster. Or better yet, I’d love the original piece hanging on my wall.
