Marvel Announces Dark Tower: End-World Almanac

For those of you who are digging Marvel’s adaptation of Stephen King’s Dark Tower series, but aren’t overly familiar with the world in which the series is set, Marvel has you covered with the Dark Tower: End-World Almanac.

Serving as an eye opening experience to the potential dangers that face Roland Deschain and his ka-tet, this book features all new, never before seen artwork by fan favorite David Yardin (Storm) and a cover by the Eisner nominated Dark Tower team of Jae Lee and Richard Isanove.

Untold Tales of the Dark Tower Coming Your Way

Marvel has announced it is working with the original team that brought you Dark Tower to bring you an untold tale that was only hinted at in the Stephen King novels. Depending on your point of view, the Dark Tower series did a lot to bring non-comic readers into comic shops around the country.

Roland Deschain and his ka-tet are fighting for their very survival! With the Big Coffin Hunters on the trail of these friends, plus visions of Susan’s death dancing in Roland’s head, what else could go wrong? Well…Roland’s in a coma and the people who burned Susan are determined to make him their next victim!

Marvel Comics Sneak Peek of the Weekend (Part 1)

Dark Tower #4 Sells Out

Marvel has let Major Spoilers know the Dark Tower: Gunslinger Born #4 has completely sold out at Diamond. With the success of the series, Marvel has also announced it will be going back to press with an all new cover by Billy Tan of Uncanny X-Men fame.

Hitting store shelves today is the fifth installment of the Stephen King adaptation of the Dark Tower: Gunslinger Born. Dark Tower along with the Buffy comics have been selling like crazy based on word on the street, and to get your butt in the stores (Scott Johnson are you listening?), Marvel slipped us a sneak peek at the issue just a few moment ago.

I know there are people who never stepped foot into a comic shop until Marvel’s adaptation of Stephen King’s Dark Tower was released (I can say the same thing about Buffy season 8). The success of Dark Tower - reaching the #5 position in March 2007 - has fans coming back for more, and issue #5 finds Roland Deschain facing his greatest challenge yet.
