It’s so easy to blow up your problems, it’s so easy to play up your breakdown. It’s so easy to fly through a window, it’s so easy to fool with the sound. Life’s the same, I’m moving in stereo… Life’s the same, except for my shoes. Life’s the same, you’re shakin’ like tremolo. Life’s the same, it’s all inside you. Life’s the same, I’m moving in stereo… Life’s the same, except for my shoes. Life’s the same, you’re shakin’ like tremolo. Life’s the same, it’s all inside you!

With Moonstone masquerading as the new Ms. Marvel in the Dark Avengers, where does that leave Carol Danvers? Marvel has sent Major Spoilers a sneak peek of Ms. Marvel #38, that arrives April 29, 2009.
Or – “Evil Versus Evil. Shouldn’t They Just Cancel Out?”

Has anybody else noticed that Marvel has a tendency to randomly rename characters for unknown reasons? When Genis became the new Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau had to become Photon. Then, he became Photon and she became something else. Ms. Marvel became Warbird when there was another Ms. Marvel, but was Captain Marvel for a few issues until they decided that Gravity would be the new Captain Marvel, but now Marvel Boy is the new Captain Marvel, while the original Marvel Boy is going by the name Bob Grayson in Agents of Atlas. Hawkeye (seen above) used to be Bullseye, and is not Clint Barton, the original Hawkeye (who was also Goliath after Yellowjacket gave up the name, but before the second Yellowjacket took the name so that the first Yellowjacket had to be Giant-Man again causing the second Giant-Man to go back to being Goliath) nor is he Kate whatchamacallit, the Hawkeye from Young Avengers. Dark Reign has really made things confusing on a number of levels, but the question still remains: Is it any good?

Marvel has announced Dark Avengers #3 has sold out at the distributor level (but may still be available at your LCS), prompting the company to go back to press for a second printing.
At the forefront of Dark Reign, Norman Osborn must lead his villainous super-powered team against the sorceress Morgan La Fey! Don’t miss Deodato’s powerful interior art on the cover of this new second printing variant!
The $3.99 variant edition of Dark Avengers #3 is scheduled to be in stores on April 22, 2009.

Doctor Strange has to fight to get regain the title of Sorcerer Supreme, and the Avengers are going to help him take it back from the Dark Avengers. Sounds like we’re headed to a smack down of magical proportions, and Marvel has sent us a sneak peek of the upcoming New Avengers #51.

Marvel has announced it is going back to press with Dark Avengers #2.
Spanning from the terror of Dark Reign, multiple Eisner award winner Brian Michael Bendis and acclaimed artist Mike Deodato deliver a brand new Avengers series with a team of the most dangerous characters ever assembled! This isn’t your mom and dad’s Avengers, True Believers!

Raise your hand if you think it’s funny that I’ve been trying to write this review all weekend…

We’ve already reviewed Marvel’s Dark Avengers #1 – the issue that kicks off a new direction for the Avengers (at least for now). The issue has been popular enough that it has sold out at the distributor level, which means a new printing, complete with a new variant cover (above).
Dark Avengers #1 is scheduled to arrive in stores February 25, 2009, with that $3.99 cover price.
Or – “Oh, Brave New World, That Has Such $@&$ers In It…”

In the wake of Secret Invasion, we’re faced with a new Marvel Universe, a world in which a megalomaniac is running the superhuman task force… so, not much different, actually. Marvel’s FOURTH ongoing Avengers title makes it’s debut this issue, proving that Brian Bendis can actually decompress on single storyline so far that it becomes it’s own line of comics.
