As the followers of Nyarlathotep continue to gain strength, the king begins to have problems with wars abroad. And this is a concern to his brother and high priest of the continent. This issue moves away from the mystical and into the political as Fall of Cthulhu: Nemesis continues to reveal the final days of Atlantis.
Sit back and enjoy the muscial stylings of Eben Brooks and his song, Hey There Cthulhu.
Because I hate typing Nyarlathotep…

The mythos of Cthulhu has had a huge boost in popularity, due in part to the comic book series featuring the old one’s name on the cover. Boom! Studios has cranked out horrific Cthulhu tales, side splitting comedy featuring three of the Lovecraftian gods, and tales that make readers want to read the issue again and again. This week, Boom! kicks off another mini-series, Fall of Cthulhu Nemesis, and Major Spoilers is bringing you a first look.

Believe it or not, I’m not a huge horror fan. Sure I like the occasional tale told to terrorize tikes, but most of the horror comics I’ve seen over the last 15 years seem to revel in the gore and violence associated with Halloween and Friday the 13th, but kicked up a notch for shock value alone. I discovered the brilliance of H.P. Lovecraft about 8 years ago and have been hooked on his tales ever since.
When Boom! Studios unveiled its Cthulhu line I snagged as many issues of the various titles as I could, but by far my favorite series has been Cthulhu Tales. These stories are told in the same vein as Lovecraft, full of suspense and terror, and as one might expect, present stories based on the original tales.

It’s a big week for Boom! Studios as the company has five titles hitting the shelves on Wednesday, including Pulp Tales, a benefit comic to raise money for Josh Medors. Take the jump for Pulp Tales, Cthulhu Tales #6, High Rollers #3, Necronomicon #3, Scream Queen #4, and Warhammer: Crown of Destruction #1.

Boom! Studios has let Major Spoilers know that its time to rumble as the old gods and man get ready for the Apocalypse.
“FALL OF CTHLHU: APOCALYPSE is what we’ve all been waiting for,” said FALL OF CTHULTHU series writer Michael Alan Nelson. “This is the final showdown between ALL of our characters, great, small, and unseen. If you’ve been itching for some full-on divine smackdowns coupled with violent descents into irreparable madness, then you won’t want to miss APOCALYPSE.”
The first issue arrives in November.

Boom! Studios is taking the ballerina cover from Fall of Cthulhu #9, and super-sizing it to poster form, so you can hang it on the wall of your dorm or office.
“In the world created by H.P. Lovecraft, there are things that happen on a huge scale, and events so insignificant they barely happen at all. Yet he managed to imbue every incident great or small with a creepy, disturbing strangeness,” said poster and FALL OF CTHULHU artist Patrick McEvoy. “This picture was a good chance for me to try to visually capture that mood.”
Only 1,000 copies are being made of this 24″ x 36″ poster, and it will sell for $14.99.
