I totally fell in love with the first issue of Hunter’s Fortune from Boom! Studios. Joe Quinones posted the cover to the final installment of the issue over at his website, and I can not wait to see how this series ends.
Boom! Studios looks to have some great titles coming out next week that includes titles for kids, and some for the bigger kids. Take the jump for a peek at Donald Duck and Friends #347, Finding Nemo: Reef Rescue #4, Kill Audio #2, and The Unknown: The Devil Made Flesh #2.
The Bicentennial year of 1976 was a great time for celebration, but in New York City, beat cop John McClane is having a heck of a time with throng of revelers, dealing with the richest of the rich, and of course there’s that whole issue of corrupt cops on the force.
Boom! Studios has done a great job of telling stories that sit outside the realm of the normal spandex and capes crowd. More often than not, the company delivers a winner with new titles launched, and it appears they’ve found another winner with Hunter’s Fortune #1.
Boom! Studios sent Major Spoilers a sneak peek of Die Hard: Year One #2, Hunter’s Fortune #1, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep #5, and Muppet Peter Pan #2. All arrive next week, and you can get a taste of what is to come, after the jump.

This October 29th, Italycomics debuts “BOOM! Magazine Annual #1″ at Italy’s premiere comic convention, Lucca Comics.
Following the first three issues of BOOM! Magazine, readers and fans clamored for “more BOOM!” and Italycomics aims to deliver. With the latest issue of BOOM! Magazine featuring the conclusion of CAPED and PLANETARY BRIGADE, two replacement titles are needed.
Poe makes a stand under the House of Usher and confronts not only Roderick Usher, but his own inner demons. Also, will his brother William survive an attack by the Golem dog after narrowly escaping the Pendulum? What of William’s wife Elaine? Will she die so Madeline Usher may live?
Boom! Studios has announced Anchor #1 sold out at the distributor level and will head back to press with retailers able to pick up the second printing immediately from Haven Distributors. The second printing will be available next week through Haven, or if your store only goes through Diamond, the issue will be available at the end of November.
THE ANCHOR #1 features the first installment of this epic ongoing series written by Phil Hester, with ominous interior art by Brian Churilla. The first printing shipped with two covers in a 50/50 split and a third cover that was offered as a 1-in-10 incentive.
Toshiro Ono, the Swordsmith Assassin finishes telling his story to General Renier, of the Prussian army. Has he moved the General to relinquish his final sword, or is there more to the story yet to be told?

Boom! Studios seems to be on a roll lately with a large number of its titles selling out and going back to press. The company announced three titles (28 Days Later #3, Kill Audio #1, and Walt Disney Comics and Stories #699) have sold out and are headed back to the printers.
Those stores that want to get more copies in, can get them immediately through the new Boom! Studios relationship with Haven Distributors that was announced last week.
WALT DISNEY’S COMICS & STORIES #699 is written by Ricardo Secchi with interior art by Stefano Turconi. The first printing shipped with two covers in a 50/50 split and a third cover that was offered as a 1 in 10 incentive.
28 DAYS LATER #3 is written by Michael Alan Nelson with interior art by Declan Shalvey and colors by Nick Filardi, with the first print shipping with two covers in a 50/50 split by Tim Bradstreet and Sean Phillips. A third cover by DNA Films was offered as a 1 in 10 incentive.

Last time we visited the world of Irredeemable, we reviewed the trade paperback which collected the first four issues of this series. The trade followed that world’s greatest hero, The Plutonian, after he has decided that he has had enough of what he sees as an ungrateful world. Since then, there have been some developments in the Irredeemable world, and our beleaguered heroes still do not seem to have much hope.
