This June, Bluewater Productions will release Gearz #1, from 10th Muse creator Dan Rafter. It sounds like a really cool concept that would make any kid the most popular in school - Karen Chugg wants a dog, but instead ends up with three kick-ass robot bodyguards.
Writer Dan Rafter said, “the story is about Karen Chugg’s, an unpopular kid at school who suddenly finds three cool robots on her doorstep. Lauren goes from being practically invisible to being part of the ‘in’ crowd. This book is fun because it has everything: lots of action, lots of comedy and even a little bit of drama. I think we can identify with Lauren, who struggles with the fact that her newfound popularity isn’t due to anything that she’s done. Of course, there’s also chemically enhanced monsters, a corrupt president of the United States and a half-mad assassin robot programmed to destroy Lauren’s new metal buddies.”
Bluewater has slipped a sneak peek of the series, that you can see after the jump.

Bluewater Productions has sent Major Spoilers a sneak peek of The Odyssey Presents: Venus. No word balloons, so I can’t comment on the action sequence, but I like the art by Esdras, it kind of has a Humberto Ramos vibe but without the big feet.

Ray Harryhausen Presents: 20 Million Miles More #1, written by Scott Davis, with art by Alex Garcia, and VSS: Nemesis Rising #2, written by Terrance Greip with art by Nadir Balan, have both sold out at Diamond, according to Bluewater Productions.
“Our books have sold out almost every month, despite many shop still under-ordering the books. Many readers have contacted us still trying to find our books,” said BWP Managing Editor Darren G. Davis in a prepared statement. “It just goes to show that you don’t have to be mainstream to reach the market. Readers just want great stories with great art, and if you can deliver that to them, they’ll come back for more every month.”
The company said it would go back for a second printing of 20 Millions Miles More #1, that will feature a sketch cover by Nadir Balan, but has no plans at this time to go back to press for VSS: Nemesis Rising.
Take the jump for more info on the two series as well as full covers to the issues you may still be able to find in shops.

Bluewater Productions has announced its first title in the Ray Harryhausen Presents line of comics has sold out, and that can only mean good things for the second series, Jason and the Argonauts: Kingdom of Hades. I love the Jason and the Argonauts movie, so having a comic spin out of this could potentially be a huge step in continuing the saga that is Jason.
The four issue mini-series sets sail in November for $3.50.
Take the jump for the full cover that will set all the ladies heart’s a flutter and a description of the series.
