Is there life on Earth and does that mythical place even exist at all? Well both those extremely important questions are answered after Troy and Dillon discover the Voyager probe floating in space and take it to Dr Zee for analysis. The path to the promised land is now clear and although Adama is considering a completely different path, the rest of the governing council decide that the not inconsiderable risk is worth taking. However nobody bothered to inform NORAD that the Galactica was on its way and the Presidents response is both swift and deadly.

The Hollywood Reporter is circulating news that BrYan Singer has been tapped by Universal Pictures to produce and direct the big screen adaptation of Battlestar Galactica. Thanks to a power outage, and a two-year-old who fills up the TiVo with crap children’s programming, I’ve not had a chance to watch the final four episodes of the series, so I have no idea if Singer jumping on board for a movie franchise is a good idea or not.
There is no script for the new “Galactica,” though insiders have said the feature is to be a complete reimaginging and will stand separately.
If it does stand separately, it’s going to be a really strange movie, as I doubt audiences will be interested in yet another interpretation of the Galactica series, especially when the large fan base has a huge love-on for the just wrapped series. Since it is Friday, what say you Major Spoilerites? Do you have any interest in seeing a movie redux of Galactica Returns?

If you were wondering where Quantum Mechanix got the idea for the animated Cylon and Kara Thrace statues, look no further than Dustin Adair, who created a series of animated shorts a while ago using the BSG characters.
Battlestar Galactica may be over, but the fun of being one of the last survivors of the human race being hunted down by cyborgs continues with Quantum Mechanix Little Frakkin’ series. A large number of companies are taking properties and tooning characters up to create a unique line of statues that are sure to start a conversation when displayed on the bookshelf.
Little Frakkin’ Colonials Starbuck Animated Maquette is a cool take on Kara Thrace that stands six-inches tall, and is limited to 1,000 unites. Likewise, the Cylon Centurion Animated Maquette makes the robot feel a little more friendly. Still, if it were hunting me down, I doubt I’d want to hug and snuggle the thing.
Both are available for pre-order now, and sell for $69.95 each.
