Marvel continues to pump the Heroic Age theme coming in May with this teaser image.

Guys like Purple Man, The Mandrill, The Corruptor, The Controller… These are all horrible, horrible manipulator jackasses who should be set on fire and rolled down a hill. What’s even more scary is that some of these jerks are considered SMALL POTATOES compared to the major-league evils in the Marvel Universe… But, stay tuned, Faithful Spoilerite, as you’re about to see what makes these idiots so scary.

I saw recently that a clinical study proved that January 25th is the most depressing day of the entire year, scientifically and unequivocally. While I don’t disagree with that sentiment (especially as it regards the attendance of employees in Midwestern United States call centers) I find it fascinating that somebody actually got paid to try and figure out something that silly and (let’s be honest, here) banal. Still and all, it’s the kind of story that you read and go, “Yeah, I can see that.” Thus, to ease your slowly-receding ennui (and Stephen’s not-so-slowly receding hairline) I give you another batch of coverage of comics you might have read, but forgot to laugh at the first time… Rapid-Fire Style!

IGN is running a story that tells what’s ahead for Marvel’s Avengers titles in 2010. The company has decided to cancel all Avengers titles in the wake of the Siege event.
April will see the end of
- Avengers: The Initiative #35
- Dark Avengers #16
- Mighty Avengers #36
- New Avengers #64
If you are concerned, put your money on the square that says a new Avengers titles appears within 12 months. We’ll have the full Marvel solicitations tomorrow, that will reveal more. Until then, here’s your chance to comment away.
