I never thought I’d see a Flash not wearing a red costumes, but the events happening in Blackest Night actually have me digging Barry Allen in his Hope duds. Scott Kolins whipped up the cover to Blackest Night: Flash and it’s classic speedster in a way we haven’t seen him before. Well, unless you’ve read the most recent issue of Blackest Night that is.

Over at his blog, artist Ryan Ottley posted the cover to Invincible #72.

We’ve seen Francesco featured in the Art Appreciation Moment of the Day, and we’ve raved about his work on Zorro. But what if Francesco took on the Rocketeer? The answer can be found after the jump.

The images for our Major Spoilers Poll of the Week this week come from Garrett Blair. Since I enjoyed his work on Kitty Pryde and Phantom Girl, I figured we’d feature one more comic book character – Zatanna.

There are those who still haven’t watched an episode of the Venture Bros., but that doesn’t stop them from cranking out some fantastic art.
Gabe Farber brings some Iron Man goodness on this Friday, and I like his pencils and the texture from the chipboard.

You may have seen this one already, but with all the cover text stripped away, Frank Quitely’s Batman and Robin #7 cover is even more creepy.
There are all kinds of styles out there – some of them work, and some of them work really well. Here, Yassier S. Rasan, creates a style that is so flowing that you can almost feel Ling Xiaoyu flying at you and getting ready to kick you in the face.

Yup, it’s Adam Hughes once again making an appearance in the Art Appreciation Moment of the Day. I can’t get enough of his art, and I can’t wait to see his Poison Ivy designs turned into a statue from DC Direct.

We haven’t featured Josh Howard in some time, so today we’re offering up his interpretation of Storm.

Who is the baddest of the bad in the Stone Age? Look no further than Batman. And who can draw the Batman kicking caveman ass? Andy Kubert. Take the jump for a look at the cover to Return of Bruce Wayne #1.
DC has posted a huge image on its site showing off the Justice League: Rise and Fall cover and the related tie-in issues dealing with Green Arrow and the drama going on in his life.
The cover is by Mike Mayhew, and while it is very akin to the Final Crisis promo poster that circulated a couple of years ago, I can’t help but feel a bit of 3D flair being added to the piece.

I’m a big fan of those who can make something stunning with a single color. And if the subject is Jessica Rabbit, then red is the color to use.

Time for a little Godzilla action in this installment of Art Appreciation Moment of the Day.
