During the D23 Expo held in Anaheim this past weekend, John Lasseter quashed rumors that Pixar was looking at Marvel’s Ant-Man for a possible movie.
“I had met all the folks from Marvel a couple of times and they’re terrific,” says Lasseter, a man of few words regarding Pixar’s interest in Marvel properties, “The whole ‘Ant-Man’ thing is just a rumor.”
Not off the table is the possibility that Monsters, Inc. and the Incredibles would be returning to the big screen with sequels for each.
Hear ye! Hear ye! The Hulk is smashing his way through Manhattan this week in World War Hulk #4. While we can’t bring you the blow by blow action, Marvel has graciously provided us with previews of its other titles arriving this week.

It’s a very busy week, what with all this comic-con stuff going on, but that doesn’t mean you have to be left out in the cold with your Sneak Peeks. This weekend, Marvel has 12 sneaks of issues coming out on August 1.
The first batch includes Dark Tower #7, Fantastic Four #548, Ant-Man #11, Marvel Spotlight World Wark Hulk, Ms. Marvel #18, and New Avengers Illuminati #4.

Of all the things that I whine about regarding Civil War, the one aspect that doesn’t bug me is the insistence that it affects every single facet of life in the Marvel Universe. I’ve always thought that if you’re going to do a huge mega-crossover, you may want to have it affect somebody. I remember the days of the Infinity Gauntlet-War-Crusade-Jamboree, and how I kept seeing my guy Nova on the cover of the books, and hearing rumors that he died or something, but seeing little to no mention of it in New Warriors or his own book. I’d say being rendered into my component elements by a 9 foot purple guy would be worth comment, y’think? With “Choosing Sides,” we see some of the less obvious effects of the ongoing chaos on the denizens of the Marvel Universe. Are you sitting comfortably?
Yesterday, during the Marvel Studios Analyst webcast, the company revealed more details on their future projects.
