Here at Stately Spoilers Manor, we like to keep abreast of the latest and greatest in comic excellence, as well as moments that are unique. Action Comics, the book that pretty much started the whole superhero genre back in ‘38, hits a milestone with this issue, the first comic to reach number 850. Of course, it may have cheated a little bit, having been weekly for eight or nine months in the late 80’s, but it’s still an impressive achievement and worth noting. This issue also features a guest gig by everyone’s favorite future teens, which might explain how it ended up in my sack of comics…

DC Comics has announced the Richard Donner/Geoff Johns tale from Action Comics #845 will be going back to press.
The second printing will have a recolored version of the original cover by Adam Kubert.
Action Comics #845 2nd Printing will arrive in stores on March 14 for $2.99.

DC Comics has provided Major Spoilers with a sneak peek of Wildstorm’s Danger Girl: Body Shots. Make sure you check out the awesome work done by Nick Bradshaw and Jim Charalampidis. I’ve been a fan of Bradshaw for quite some time and try to pick up stuff he is worked on just because his name is on the cover.

DC comics has announced that part four of the “Last Son” storyline written by Geoff Johns and Richard Donner has been moved from January to March. Instead of appearing in Action Comics #847, the 3D issue will move to Action Comics #848.
Filling in for issue #847 will be a Dwayne McDuffie (w) and Renato Guedes (a) story featuring General Zod and other baddies from the Phantom Zone.

After a quick sell out at DC Comics, ACTION COMICS #844 is being rushed back to press for a second printing. This issue features the debut of the new creative team of writers Geoff Johns & Richard Donner and artist Adam Kubert.
“It’s been an absolute honor to be a part of ACTION COMICS with Dick, Adam, (colorist) Dave Stewart, (letterer) Rob Leigh, (editor) Matt Idelson and (associate editor) Nachie Castro,” says Johns. “I’m incredibly proud of the work we’re all doing and thankful for the retailers and readers giving our run on ACTION a go.”
ACTION COMICS #844 Second Printing (OCT068020) features a recolored version of the original cover by Adam Kubert, and is scheduled to arrive in stores on December 6.
