Marvel has announced artist Carlos Pacheco is coming back to the company, and his first bit of work is a “parent” variant cover to the upcoming Secret Warriors #1.

Pacheco’s cover features the chill-inducing lineup of Mr. Hyde, the Phantom Rider and Griffin. The two super villains and one ghostly “hero” represent the parental pedigree of Secret Warriors Quake, Hellfire and Yo-Yo, and the cult status of the characters proved the perfect assignment to bring Pacheco back to the Marvel U.

This is the first work for Marvel by Pacheco in five years.  Secret Warriors #1 arrives February 4, 2009.
