Oh man, when we heard months ago that Jerry Bruckheimer was producing a G-Force movie, we assumed it was going to be a balls to the wall, explosion laden, eye-gasm featuring Mark, the Princess, Keyop, and the rest of the G-Force gang. Instead, we get this…

Guinea pigs? Granted, they are specially trained guinea pigs who work for the government, but come on! And to rub it in our faces, these are CGI guinea pigs and not the real deal. Boo, Mr. Bruckheimer. Boo to you!

Really? And they can use the name?
Should we start a bakesale to hire a hitman?
I find this hilarious! Won’t see it, but hilarious!
AWWWWWW CRAP!!!
At least Netflix has the original series to refresh the memory and cleanse the pallet.
Bruckheimer is a total hack, so this comes as no great surprise. He’s all fluff, no substance.
Don’t worry, Scott. I still believe there’s a live-action Gatchaman movie (basis for Battle of the Planets and G-Force American series adaptations) in the works. Yes, it’s gonna be completely in CG, but do you really want live-action actors acting this stuff?
This movie is so high-concept I can taste the brownies from here. And they taste…bitter
You know, if I wanted to see ginea pigs save the world, I would be watching the wonderpets episodes with my kids
Scott is the host of another blog who linked to here. (I happen to frequent both blogs)
As for Battle of the Planets, I remember when I was a kid watching it that I always thought Rigel, and probably many other planets (stock footage), looked like a giant raspberry. Also even at that age I thought Mark, or was it Jason?, was an idiot for not realising his father was the head of the space patrol.
what the heck is G-Force?
It’s not April ALREADY, is it?
Get over it ginea pigs are all the rage. It looks funny and exhilarating for the whole family.
Rodentia are the new Sphenisciformes.
I think that the G-Force movie you were thinking of originally is still on, I’ve seen concept work from it (like, in person), it’s just titled Gatchaman instead of G-Force. Gatchaman was the original Japanese title. PRETTY sure that’s correct, could be wrong, but pretty sure.
