According to those who know more than me, The Dark Knight movie has sold more that 13.5 million copies world-wide since its release a week ago. Even better, Warner Bros. is reporting that 1.7 million of those copies happen to be in the Blu-Ray format.

In 1989 Michael Keaton’s Batman movie hit stores just in time for the holiday season, and became the biggest seller on the VHS format for that year.  The Batman movie is unique in that it was one of the first movies released on VHS only a few months after its theatrical run.  Almost 20 years later, and it looks like Batman is doing that again for the HD format.

  • I got mine’s on Blu Ray! Too bad my mommy & daddy won’t let me open my PS3 until Xmas Eve, or I’d be able to watch it!!
Batman is my dude!! I don’t know if this one is better than the 1989 version though. It is definitely a toss up!
