Review: Dr. Horrible

From the moment Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog hit the intardwebz, fans of musical comedies, with a superhero hook have been in seventh heaven. While there have been a couple of attempts to tell a Dr. Horrible origin story, the official take on the villain’s past can only be found in the pages of Dr. Horrible #1 from Dark Horse Comics.

Review: Nola #1

Now that Pushing Daisies is dead, Brian Fuller has signed a deal to return to NBC’s Heroes beginning with episode 20.

His exact role on the sci-fi drama has not been determined, but he is expected to play a key role in the writers room alongside “Heroes” creator/executive producer/showrunner Tim Kring.

After the end of the season, Fuller might continue on “Heroes” or join another UMS-produced series while also developing his own projects.

That last line might be pretty telling. If the ratings don’t rise, the show may find itself on the chopping block, so Fuller’s seven-figure deal to work on other Universal Media Studios projects is pretty smart thinking for the producer.

“Pushing Daisies” is dead?! Dang-it, I kinda figured it was too quirky to survive for long but it getting a second season gave me hope. *sigh*

The worst episode of “Daisies” this season was orders of magnitude better than the best of “Heroes”. If Ned the Pieman were real, I’d have him resurrect ‘Pushing Daisies’ in close proximity to ‘Heroes’ Chuck Charles style…
