Dynamite Entertainment has released cover images for its new Raise the Dead horror title. Written by Leah Moore and John Reppion, with illustrations done by Hugo Petrus, Raise the Dead tells the tale of a world on the brink of being overrun by the living dead.
Dynamite Entertainment assures us this isn’t just another zombie run amuck tale we’ve seen told so many times before, because the tale will have an interesting twist. Dynamite also warns readers not to get attached to too many characters.
In a prepared statement a Dynamite spokesperson said, “Zombie tales have become a genre all their own, and we’re just dying to be a part of all the undead action. Regardless of how many zombie movies, books, video games and comics already exist, fans always want more, and they appreciate it being done right. Raise the Dead is going to give fans of the undead all they crave in the most traditional way possible but with an interesting twist to keep the story unique and readers on the edge of their seat.”
Raise The Dead #1 is scheduled to be in stores this March with a cover price of $3.50. Two covers are also available, one of which glows in the dark.
