Will Branagh pull double duty as Donald Blake in addition?

Doing an “Asgardian” Thor preceding a”Midgardian” Thor might not be a bad idea…Asgard could be so surreal they could save money on sets by doing the “300″/”Sin City” thing with the backgrounds.

I’m a huge fan of Branagh, but I don’t understand this choice, or the choice of screenwriter.

Well Kenneth Branagh is a Shakespearean actor. I suppose they really need some use to productions where the main character says “thou” and “Have at thee”. Knoweth thou what I speaketh? :)

I don’t know if I’m that concerned, aren’t the noises coming out of Marvel (reportedly) that the first Thor movie would be Asgardian rather than Midgardian in nature which could very well play to Branagh’s strengths.

BTW they should totally go with a Skandinavian actor as Thor, he would seem more out of place and they might even get a better actor for the role by going beyond guys who played or might have played in an Oceans movie.

Ten years ago, I’d say Branagh himself would have been a choice.
