It could be that whoever J.J.’s people called to get Shatner.. got someone who said they represented Shatner, instead of the man himself. To those people, they would have most definitely fought for Shatner to be a big part of this reboot Star Trek.. for the Greedy bloodsuckers they are…
Just that Shatner would be playing in the “Generations” version of himself. He’s not as thin as he used to be. They’d probably have to do some makeup and effects to make him Wrath of Khan thin..
This franchise has to move on if it is going to survive… much longer… than the 40 years it has been around :(
