Why read Invincible? Because it does a little bit of everything and it does it all well. If you're a Spider-man fan, Invincible has the humor and the soap opera elements. Like Teen Titans? Try the Teen Team, instead.

While I love Mark Grayson, what I love about this book is all of the secondary characters are well-rounded, with motivations that aren't all obvious, well-thought out backstories and (most likely) well-thought out futurestories.

Why should someone read Invincible? That's not the question. Why isn't everybody already reading it? That's what I can't figure out.

Oh, and I forgot to add how much this reminds me of Ben Edlund's "The Tick" for some reason!

yet another title that i read at least once a year. but what i like about this title is that it's not depressing like most title today. i like dark and grimm stories, but invincible is a nice change of pace. yes, there's bad stuff happening, but on the whole it is a nice, fun book.

the aet is also excellent, simple yet complex and effective. i wish more books were like that. only kirkman can pull it off i think.

If I want someone to start reading Invinvible, I loan them a trade. It's the same thing the crack dealers do: free sample.

With its efficient pictorial style; effervescent writing and industry in-jokes "Invincible" has taken the best of the past 50 or so years of comics and economically tied it into one neat little monthly title. Its effectiveness lies in how it has seamlessly based itself on golden and silver age comic elements intertwined with a modern setting, witty realistic dialogue and deceptively innocent graphic characterization.

It is essentially the story of a superman character told in a spiderman format; or more succinctly: a DC hero as written by Marvel; and yet it is free of all the current bureaucracy limiting the creativity within the big two at the moment.

The tagline says it all, its probably the best superhero comic in the universe. No fancy gimicks, styles, or coloring. Just good ole' fashioned art and story-telling.
