The book did feel too wordy and the pencils and inks didn't mix well for me. And wasn't Derenick's art a major reason Shadowpact never caught on or am I mistaken? And not knowing the DC mystic heirarchy much, who the hell was that herald of Blaze and Stanus and who was that girl Occult summoned? Maybe the book would have benefited from the boxes LoSH uses, giving name and power of each character. I disliked this first issue to have me considering not buying any further installments.
