While there were a lot of companies that had news to share in their panel, there really wasn’t enough to justify a single article for each. To make sure we try to get as much complete coverage as we can, here’s a summary of the tid-bits coming from the rest.
IDW
- More Transformers series hitting store through the rest of 2008 and into 2009
- Transformers: Destiny will be a five parter beginning in December
- Transformers Movie Sequel: The Reign of Starscreen, seems pretty self explanatory
- Simon Furman will write a Maximum Dinobots.
- He will also write Transformers: The 13 which will tell the origin of the Robots in Disguise
- All hail Megatron will feature a brand new IDW-created Transformer.
Devil’s Due
- Yes, there is a Hack/Slash movie in the works – expect a hard R when it comes out
- Cassie will pose as a Suicide Girl in the upcoming annual
- Want more zombies in your comics? How about Chopper Zombie combing biker shows with the undead.
- Kevin Spacey’s Trigger Street is partnering with the company to get Devil’s Due comics online and in the eyes of new readers
- The company also announced a partnership with French comic company Les Humanoides Associes that will have Devil’s Due translating the comics into English.
Boom! Studios
- As already reported, several Disney/Pixar properties are head to the company
- Since company co-found Andrew Cosby helped create the Sci-Fi series Eureka, it only makes sense Boom! would announce an adaptation of the series
- Boom! has signed a deal with Sony to do online movies based on Second Wave and Dead Run.
Dabel Brother Publishing
- The company announced a deal to adapt the Warriors movie into a comic series. Yes, the Warriors. Believe it.
