finalcrisis3

Dan DiDio hosted the panel that attempted to answer questions to Final Crisis.

  • Final Crisis #3 is delayed because of production problems.  Sure, sure…can anyone say “here we go again”
  • The fifth script to the series is finished.  For some reason, I thought this thing was announced a long time ago – plenty of time to get things wrapped up.
  • Final Crisis: Revelations – The Spectre.  The Question.  Payback.
  • Final Crisis: Revelations will also be Philip Tan’s first work for DC.
  • Meltzer’s Final Crisis: Last Will and Testament reveals what goes on the night before everything gets blowed up real good.
  • Look for Sinestro’s execution in Rage of the Red Lanterns
  • Superboy Prime travels to the future
  • “Darkseid falls backwards through time,” Morrison said. “This is ‘Final Crisis 4′ I’m telling you. Once new earth collapses, the entire multiverse collapses. Darkseid, when he falls backwards through time, it’s the first time he’s ever physically been here. Every time you’ve seen him, he’s been a projection. I wanted to do ‘Mister Miracle’ as everyone is all Black, I wanted to do Metron as Sun Ra. They shouldn’t be white.” – via Comic Book Resources
  • Geoff Johns is back on Flash, and look for some big stories coming in the future.

A lot of teasing, not many answers, probably more confusion than anything.

  • I’m starting to care less and less about Final Crisis…I just want it over so DC can get back to just telling some good stories and Morrison can go back to writing awesome stuff for Vertigo. Final Crisis for me had to be as good as Countdown was bad and it’s not managing that as yet, all it seems to be doing is over complicating things.

  • you are right about that. i just finished reading final crisis and it sucked big time. confusing, contradictory and just plain exhausting i have no idea how, or if this fits into a coherent view of the dc universe. i mean didn’t jim starlin just kill off the new gods and orion in particular in his miniseries death of the new gods?
what happened there seeemed to directly contradict this and @ least half a dozen other stories.
maybe it would make more sense if i read all the branching stories and miniseries but, life is just to short…
