Nightmare on Elm Street Gets Writer
--by Stephen Schleicher

The Hollywood Reporter has Wesley Strick signed on to write the update to the Freddy Kruger franchise.
The new project will keep the high school setting and delve deeper in the psychology of nightmares and Krueger himself. The plan is to have a dark tone. The company hopes to have the movie ready for the 25th anniversary of the original.
Strick has previously penned Arachnophobia and Cape Fear.

How hard is it to write these things? Kids fall asleep, Freddy attacks. One or two survive after apparently defeating Freddy.
You just need the Family Guy Sea-Critter Idea Tank for new kids with new hobbies, and that’s that.
