that is probably one of the best renditions of beast since Frank Quitely gave him his “second mutation”. Which was a bit of a fizzler of an idea, huh? Surely a lot more x-men would be going through second mutations by now… and, if it’s triggered by great emotional and physical trauma, like it was implied by Sage in the early issues of Extreme X-men (now there was a pathetic run!), surely some x-chaps would be going through third and fourth mutations. I mean, wolverine, who’s at death’s door EVERY FRICKIN ISSUE OF EVERY FRICKIN COMIC he appears in (average of 10 a month, right?) he should be on like level 50 mutations… the guy should look like optimus prime or something by now.
