Sony Pictures Imageworks has announced it will be the driving force behind the live action 3D adaptation of one of my favorite cartoons from my youth. G-Force (Gatchaman, Battle of the Planets) will have its 2D footage converted into 3D during the action sequences.
Is everyone excited about a G-Force movie?

I’m really excited about this. I also hope that they don’t screw this up.
I remember this show being freakin’ visceral. I’m pretty sure people died in it, often in somewhat gruesome ways. I wonder what sort of tone this movie’s going to have
Soory to disapoint you guys but, there’s not te movie you all had been waiting for, there’s the link to the first images of the Bruckheimer’s G-Force film

The film is about the latest evolution of a covert government program to train animals to work in espionage. Armed with the latest high-tech spy equipment, these highly trained guinea pigs discover that the fate of the world is in their paws. Tapped for the G-Force are guinea pigs Darwin (Rockwell), the squad leader determined to succeed at all costs; Blaster (Morgan), an outrageous weapons expert with tons of attitude and a love for all things extreme; and Juarez (Cruz), a sexy martial arts pro; plus the literal fly-on-the-wall reconnaissance expert, Mooch, and a star-nosed mole, Speckles (Cage), the computer and information specialist.
Actually, there is a movie called G-Force coming out which involved guinea pigs. It’s supposed to come out in the spring of 2009. But, there is also a movie called “Gatchaman” (the Japanese name of the beloved 70s cartoon, G-Force or Battle of the Planets) which is slated for 2010. Here is the link on IMDB:
