Hmm. I really don’t like Greg Land’s “art”. I really think that 90% of what ends up on the page is just Photoshop manipulation from a pool of photographs. I don’t really consider that art.
I guess I won’t be in on the Matt Fraction/Ed Brubaker era.
I am really excited about Matt Fraction joining the team, but Greg Land’s art lacks depth, authenticity and any sense of dynamic action. I don’t know how either company can handle hiring such a fraud.
I like Land enough that I’d buy an Austen written book he’s done over scripts from Bruce Jones. I appreciate the criticisms but I like the end result, with all its dynamism and fun.
Land’s art has no continuity, for me. He does striking individual images, but there’s no fluidity to it… And the faces of porn stars crop up with disturbing regularity.
I was wondering when Marvel would send out more wordless previews.
