As we previously reported, director Louis Leterrier said Captain America was to make a cameo appearance in the Hulk flick opening this weekend, but though the scene was filmed, and you will get to see it, it may not be in the theater.
So what’s the dealio? You’ll have to take the jump to find out for yourself.
In an interview with SOS Hollywood, Leterrier said, “There’s a point when Bruce Banner gives up on his quest for the cure and decide to kill himself. So he travels far North and reaches the Arctic Circle. You might have seen bits of it in some of the promos. The result was a very dark and strong scene, which Marvel, me and everyone else’s considered to be too hard to young audiences to take, so we’ve cut it. Having that said, when Bruce arrives at his destination he meets up with Captain America! At some point this week, we will make it available on the internet – but I cannot tell you where or when – and the material will definitely be on the DVD.”
Well that sucks. Not that we don’t get to see Captain America, but that Marvel decided to cut a bit from the film to make it less dark and more kid friendly. The Hulk already has a PG rating, so one potential Banner of the North sequence isn’t going to change the rating – especially if he doesn’t kill himself thanks to Captain America.

It’s a good way to show him without SHOWING him. That doesn’t break any actor consistency since we wouldn’t be able to make out a face while Cap is playing “The Most Powerful Icecube in the World”.

This worries me. This along with news that Marvel management doesn’t want to give Iron Man director Favreau his due for Iron Man 2 and Avengers makes me think that Marvel Management will f-up everyting again. MBAs are the most retarded people on the face of the earth.

Hey, at least when we see the label “Uncut” or “Extended” it won’t be bulls**t.
