Bizarro Not Make Cover of Sports Illustrated
--by Stephen Schleicher

If you put your comic books down and pick up next week’s Sports Illustrated, you might be startled to see Bizarro making an appearance on the cover.
The cover, by comic book superstar Mark Bagley, takes a look at the “Bizarro Baseball Season” and features a member of the Tampa Bay Rays knockin’ the stuffing out of everyone’s favorite Yankee, Derek Jeter. Despite the headline, this marks the first time a DC character has appeared on the cover of SI.
If you aren’t into sports, you can catch Bagley’s work in DC’s new weekly series Trinity.

That’s awesome.
Plus, the headline made me laugh. Call it childish, call it silly, but unexpected Bizarro-speak always brightens my day.

Even though my roommate already subscribes, i’m going to buy a copy of my own. That IS awesome.

i “third” that sentiment — this is TOTALLY awesome. Plus, Verducci tends to write good articles, so the quality of the piece should match the awesomeness of the cover. Me am not totally going to buy 0 copies for somebody else!!!
