wha about the 4!!!
the fantastic four have been a part of the avengers too, im not sure if it would work out well but we cant discount the possibility that they could be in the movie as a kind of sub team within the Avengers.

Dubious? No, I’d file that under “The Worst Idea Possible.” When I first read about the Spidy musical, I hoped it was some hilarious joke… (c’mon, Peter Parker meets Bob Fosse, who wouldn’t laugh at that scenario) but from what I’ve heard lately, it appears they are very serious about this broadway musical.

Now, I just have shake my head in amazement.

Honestly? I think the smartest move marvel could make would be to make a “New Avengers” movie. That is to say Captain America, Iron Man, Spiderman, Wolverine and maybe introduce Luke Cage in it (throw in the hulk, depending on how that turns out)

I think Josh is right about Thor being a cameo in IM II. The Thor movie comes out only a few months later, so I doubt that Thor would play a major part in IM II and then in his own movie. The whole Avengers movement is cool, but the trick will maintaining a consistent tone and quality throughout all the movies. It only takes one “Elektra” to foul the whole thing up….

Also, does Fox not still own the option for future X-Men movies the way that Universal does for Spider-Man? If so, I think this means that there won’t be any Spidey or already filmed mutants in the “Avengers” movies until these studio options lapse.

My awesome-o-meter kinda broke on this list. Animated and live-action versions of Thor, the Avengers coming along a lot sooner than I thought, and Planet Hulk. DC needed to counter this with some awesome of their own, but I’m pretty sure the plug got pulled on Wonder Woman and Justice League. Smallville simply doesn’t cut it.

I’m hoping the Thor introduction will be handled like the Nick Fury introduction, a preview of things to come. That way Thor can be established in his own film.

Thor introduced in Iron Man 2?

That could be interesting, a magic vs science sub-plot. Tony refusing to belive, and circumstances forcing him to. Actually, the storyline from The Ultimates where Loki gets everyone to believe that Thor is just a psycho with a hi-tech vest and hammer could work.
