If you didn’t get to see Iron Man this weekend, you not only missed a great movie, but you missed trailers for some of this summer’s big movies, including The Dark Knight from Warner Bros. Yesterday, the Why So Serious? website updated itself with the theatrical trailer, that you can see here. You can also download a high resolution version of the trailers too.

Ain’t bad, but I still prefer the original. It’s almost as if this one was put out just to show everyone that Scarecrow is driving the truck in that one shot, and that they finished the complicated filming procedures required for Harvey Dent/Two-Face.
From what I’ve seen so far, I’m not enjoying Heath Ledger’s joker. I know that’s not the party line I’m supposed to toe, and I may well change my mind after seeing the film, but the trailers have done nothing for me.
There are several things that distract me from being able to truly enjoy it. First, what’s up with the voice he’s doing? Second, what happened to the comedy? The Joker is supposed be dark and twisted and psycopathic — and they seem to have nailed that part of it. But, he’s also supposed to have something of a sense of humor to him. I haven’t seen anything suggesting they’ve bothered to include that aspect of his personality in the film.
I’m hoping I’m surprised by the film and that I wind up enjoying it as much as I liked Batman Begins and Iron Man. It’s just that, right now, after viewing the trailer, I’m not nearly as excited for it as I was before seeing the trailer …
As truly awesome as Iron Man was, DK is going to smash this weekneds box office totals when it comes out.
I’m definitely digging the new trailer… although it is still pretty creepy/odd to see Heath in the film.
Jacin, my advice would be to read Alan Moore’s “The Killing Joke”; apparently that portrayal, the merciless monster who adds humour in certain places, is what they’re going for. There’s also gonna be no Origin story; he just comes in and he’s the Joker.
I think there were some elements of humour, e.g. ‘Her’es My Card’ and the slicking-back of his hair, and that we can’t make any judgements based on one or two trailers…
