Wow. At first I wanted to see this simply for the cheese popcorn fun factor. Now I’m not so sure…

Urgh!
Lost all my interest for this now!
MMMM well I will not be seeing this movie. They went way over the top with making it like a cartoon. I think it look more like a cartoon now then the actual cartoon did. The driving is totaly unrealistic and the style of the movie, the sets and clothes, and vehicals are no where based in reality. When you going to make a big motion picture, and addapting it from a old cartoon, I think you need to bring it into the modern area a bit and make it believeible looking. I remember watching the cartoon, and then playing speed racer in my sand box. I never thought in my mind he would be able to pull stunts like that in my sand box while racing. I think they went to over the top and it is going to hurt it at the box office.
While I’m not fond of the song here, I’m still excited about the movie. Yeah, it reads like live-action cartoon…but that’s pretty much what I was expecting.
Matrix fighting styles applied to NASCAR – it’s mindless filler, but still quite shiny.
At first i thought it was bad, but this vid made it cross the line that says !its SO BAD ITS GOOD!
I can taste the cheese now and i like it.
I think everyone is repeating the same mistake that they did with the Matrix….and V for Vendetta….and Cloverfield….and Transformers….you know, pretty much for any good movie that people hate. They’re going in expecting a whole bunch of things and when they don’t get them, they get mad. I think it’s good to be an okay movie. I’m going to take it for what it is. It’s not going to be exactly like the cartoon, because it’s not the cartoon. It’s a re-envisioning. And you should never judge a movie by it’s music videos. They’re trying to reach out to another group of people to get them to see it. You people don’t like music video because it’s not aimed at you. It doesn’t mean you’re going to have nonstop rap playing through out the movie. And can you really tell how the movie is going to look from a music video? I’m going to see this movie, and I’m going to have a good time no matter what. Expect the worst, and you’ll never be disappointed, only pleasantly surprised.
nope, still think it looks great. Here’s my concern though:
Did I just see every last frame of racing in this movie?
How did a terrible re-mix and crappy video change your mind? It’s presents nothing different from what we’ve seen so far. My 5 year old daughter can’t wait. And it still looks goofy fun to me.
