Yahoo! Movies has posted some new pics from the upcoming Iron Man movie that feature Iron Monger and Iron Man battling it out BGR style (that’s Big Giant Robot).

I’m sorry but I really think this movie is going to suck….not being sucktaculaur but perhaps just sucky…and why? Well because it looks as if the main villian is going to be a guy in another iron suit…blah….to ME that spells lameness….no matter how cool it is going to look. Perhaps I overlooked a preview of some other villain, but if this is the only villain and the main fight scene is at the end with the 45minute build-up to a fight scene then arghblahugh!!! Please get a different formula for telling a superhero movie! But perhaps it is just me….hopefully this movie will surpass my expectations and wont blow like I believe it will….I just hope marvel doesnt screw up deadpool.

Um…

Pretty much the entire 40 year HISTORY of Iron Man has been two guys in iron suits cracking skulls. Crimson Dynamo… Titanium Man… Doctor Doom… Firepower… Iron Monger…

Heck, remember the Armor Wars? Iron Man versus over a DOZEN guys in iron suits over the course of six issues! There’s nothing intrinsically wrong with Iron Man fighting his more powerful doppelganger. It’s all in how they tell it…

And Marvel will absolutely screw up Deadpool. :)

If you think this Iron Man is going to suck, just wait until Iron Man II where they reveal that, for years, he’s secretly been in an alliance with Patrick Stewart and Ioan Gruffudd and they’ve rocketed Eric Bana/Ed Norton into space. Then, in Iron Man III, they turn Tony into a total jackass and make him go out and try to get all of the other Marvel movie heroes — Tobey MacGuire, Hugh Jackman, Ben Affleck, etc. — to register … oh, and Jennifer Garner’s a Skrull.
