Trinity Debuts Extra-Sized
--by Stephen Schleicher
DC has announced the Kurt Busiek/Mark Bagley Trinity series will debut with 40-pages instead of the normal 22, while still keeping the $2.99 price.
Busiek, Bagley and inker Art Thibert write and illustrate the lead stories for this series, which begins by exploring the unusual bond — and importance — of DC’s top three characters, Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, as a mysterious dream links them together and may prophesy important changes in their trinity!
If you thought Final Crisis was the next weekly series from DC, guess again - Trinity will be spinning weekly tales of the big three, as well as backup stories featuring other prominent players in this year long storyline.

Pardon my negativity, but …
Why?
Because Superman/Batman isn’t enough? Because didn’t DC just cancel that series when it was running month after month of craptacular stories with substandard art and turn it into Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman/and occassionally other characters in back-up stories?
Now we have to get this in a weekly format? Is there really a demand for that? Really?
I thought part of the ‘magic’ of 52 and Countdown were that they didn’t feature the ‘Big Three’. Don’t get me wrong — I love Superman and Batman and, to some extent, Wonder Woman — but do we really need yet another title with them in it every month?
