They would either have to make very drastic cuts or make a very looong series. And that long series would be boring as heck. Let's face it, the scale of events there is somewhat not fitting into 25-pages-a-month format. Not that I am not glad, but I'll be surprised if they will pull it off successfully. Oh well, I guess it went more than OK with the Dark Tower, so... Well, I love King, but I just cannot see the 1300+ novel successfully adapted into a comic book. Anything that brings more folks to comics is good and the King based comics have been pretty damned OK so far. I've read this cover to cover more times than I can count and I remember last year's panel at some con (maybe NY) that this was alluded too. As more comes out I'll be curious to see how they'll approach this series ... there is no way you can jam the story into 5 issue mini. Absolutely my favorite King novel.
