I think the point, Mr. Dou, is that Marvel's 'continuity' (if you can call it that with Marvel) is already so convoluted that it's impossible to tell where, precisely, this 'new' Spider-Man fits in all of it. The fact that you've presented at least two different possibilities -- one in the past (which to this point has made no mention of Spider-Man's 'retcon') and one in a future that we won't see until late this summer (or, you know, next year sometime if this crossover event winds up anything like the last several Marvel crossover events) -- is exactly why people aren't fans of the major retcon that happened in Spider-Man.

I still don't understand what people are complaining about. These have been the most enjoyable issues of Amazing Spider-Man I've read in a long time...the book was good with JMS, but was a little too dreary for Spider-Man. And I like Wolverine a lot, (one of the few that enjoy Origins, apparently), and have no problem with him showing up here, because it cements them as teammates, which I've been wanting more of. Why assume that just because Dr. Strange is in there means they've retconned something? Maybe this happens before The Hood raids the Secret Avenger's hideout? Maybe this is set after Secret Invasion after Dr. Strange comes back? Why assume that Marvel doesn't understand what they're doing and just accept it and go along with it? Most of the stories interconnectivity is clear AFTER the stories are finished, with the only exception being Loeb's Lupine run in Wolverine, that doesn't match up anyway I can figure with Bianci's X-Men...

So the "better" Spider-Man book is so good it needs Wolverine to sell it?

I really wish Marvel would get over it's man-crush on Logan and keep him in just an X-book and his self title.

Quoth my four-year-old: "Yeah. Don't care."

I'm sure that there might eventually be some good that comes out of all of this 'Brand New Day' garbage, but I doubt I'll ever read it because I stopped picking up, well, most Marvel titles due to my disgust with all of the 'changes' Joey Q. has approved over the last few years.

Okay... Is this retconned Dr. Strange and Wolverine or present-day? New Avengers or no? God, this book doesn't make sense to me anymore!
