Secondly, the war against the machines can be handled in fairly kick-ass fashion if done correctly. Bale hasn't picked a crap script in a few years and I wouldn't mind seeing something in the vein of Aliens or Starship Troopers with a deadly serious tone featuring a band of do-or-die freedom fighters taking on nigh-unstoppable machines. If John Connor sends wave after wave of his own men against a steel-plated army of killbots rather than some more old-hat, close-quarters (and less expensive) flesh-coated T-Bot on T-Bot action, I'm in, at least for a matinée.
