  1. Maximus Rift Says:

I so want Wolverine to be a Skrull and the real one to be on some planet really far away from Earth.

  2. Jim Says:

Hasn’t Wolvie been wearing his original blue and yellow tights for a while? This looks like his 80s brown and gold suit. And for the record, I don’t trust that font. Ugly!

  3. Matthew Peterson Says:

Hey, waitaminnut. Doesn’t Wolverine wear his blue and gold costume everywhere but in “Wolverine: Origins?”

Does this mean that Origins didn’t really happen? (Oh, can we be so lucky?)

  4. doubledumbassonyou Says:

I trust that Secret Invasion is going to be a pile of suck. I really am dreading this ‘event’.

  5. Civin Says:

I’m sure it’s been mentioned before but this would fully explain how Logan happens to currently be in every single Marvel comic at the same time. Every. Single. Comic. There has to be at least 20 Skrull Logan’s running around right now… none of the other hero’s are even skrull’s.. just 20 Wolverines causing all the problems ;)

  6. Salieri Says:

    Oh, doubledumbass. Ever the eloquence.

Glad I saw this; it saves me the time I was going to take asking Marvel via a letter to establish one or more Wolverine’s as a Skrull. Hopefully, this cover will be the cover for the first issue after Dan Way leaves, and the next writer will be erasing huge chunks of previous stuff on Origins.

Now if only he could be thrown off the NA and do X-Force fulltime.

(By the by, Stephen - didja get my second email?)

  7. Matthew Peterson Says:

Y’know, that theory would work if not for Marvel’s belief that Wolverine is actually a character, rather than the plot device we know him to be.

And, once again… it’s “WHOM do you trust?”

  8. Maximus Rift Says:

Not Marvel, Not Joe Quesada and especially not the current Spider-Man! That guy makes deals with the devil! :p

  9. Sanlear Says:

    Amen, Maximus.

  10. Josh Says:

But Matt, fanboys can’t spell. How would they know it’s incorrect?

  11. CaptainAverage Says:

Yes, Skrull Invasion would seem to be a potential minefield of cliches, mischaracterization, and confusion. My question: Does Marvel currently deserve ANY benefit of the doubt? It seems a large percentage of the net has pretty much decided against it.Just wondering if that’s fair to new material.
And to Matthew Peterson: Should someone tell George Thorogood that it should be “Whom do you love?”. Just don’t sound right to me. heh heh

  12. DanH3 Says:

Except for the chin and the green skin, Wolverine looks like Gene Simmons in this shot. O_o

  13. nu Says:

skrull. haha. i think that skrull should be added to the major spoiler dictionary. “youre such a skrull”

maybe something else like the wolverine effect, “the ability to be in multiple books or every marvel book at the same time, sometimes in different costumes” i mean yeah dc uses the big 3 in many books, also their other top tier characters, but not to the extent that marvel over uses good ole logan. Using your well known popular characters is a must to sell books is a must, and of course they have their own books, but at some point you have to draw a line.
