Clone Wars Trailer
--by Stephen Schleicher
Yes, I will be seeing this.
Regardless of what the mass audience thinks, I didn’t hate everything that happened in the first three movies (except for young Anakin, Jar-Jar Binks, the pod race - well pretty much everything except the fight scenes in the first movie), and I did get a kick out of the Clone Wars animated series.
The trailer looks hot, let’s hope Lucas doesn’t screw this one up.

The Clone Wars animated series wins for having Shaggy of Scooby Doo fame as a Jedi named Shaa’gi. Seriously.

A year ago, I would have been super excited about this. Sure, I might go see the theatrical premier (the series premiers in theaters first, August 15th before continuing on TV), but I just have not been happy with Star Wars for a while now.

I’m still a geek for Star Wars, even after the crummy prequels…I got a Darth Vader saber as a Xmas gift, and I LOVE it :D
The trailer for the Clone War is very promising, and hopefully Lucas wasn’t too involved in this one.

While the art and animation look good, the trailer itself tries way too hard to be “cool”. From the clone trooper screaming “Here they come” before the appearance of a mere half-dozen robot troopers to the pointless anti-grav bike hopping and decapitation, this reeks of appearance over substance.
