Wow, reverse the colors. Brilliant!
I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not, hence the following: Well, Mon _did_ only take the job at the request of Kal-El, who pretty much said that “Metropolis needs a Superman”. So, like, in tribute to the “First Superman”, SuperMon Secondus has chosen Kal’s colors & family emblem to wear. :)
But wasn’t that always part of his story–that his costume was Kal’s with the colors reversed as a way of connecting them as “brothers”?

Yep. But Mon’s original costume had the big bush jacket tunic that people keep trying to get rid of, for some reason.
It looks like a union suit (like the longjohns from the old West) — I wonder if it has a butt-flap for when he has to poop….
Mon-El is essentially Superman after DC loses the rights to Clark Kent, Krypton, Lois Lane and other familiar attributes after 2013 to the Siegel family.
