New Iron Man Series Launches in May

How about that…an Iron Man movie hits the theaters, and a new comic book series hits the shelves. The Invincible Iron Man debuts on May 7 and should capitalize on those looking to jump into the Marvel U.

This brand-new ongoing series, set in current Marvel continuity, comes from the critically acclaimed superstar duo of writer Matt Fraction (Immortal Iron Fist) and Salvador Larroca (Amazing Spider-Man), who take Iron Man into bold new territory—and against an enemy with a personal grudge! Once the dust clears, Iron Man—and the Marvel Universe—won’t be the same!

Set in current continuity? Does this mean Tony Stark will still be a totalitarian ass-hole, or will the Secret Invasion give Tony a needed personality adjustment?

In addition to a new ongoing series, Marvel is celebrating Invincible Iron Man Week at the Marvel website (link below) this week, that looks at a different aspect of the man in the can.

My guess is that the Director of SHIELD series is getting tanked. They did say that one of their best sellers would be canceled due to Secret Invasion rather than low sales…
