We’ve only seen the trailer for the upcoming remake of Clash of the Titans, and while it has sparked many people to question why there needs to be a remake, perhaps this trailer to the original film, might make you feel better.
Some will say the above trailer is in no way a representation of how good/bad the original film was, and perhaps the same can be said for the trailer of the remake.

the original was great because it was mostly hand made and was actually telling a story. the remake will be all about action and special effects.
It sure looks that way, with all the overdone look of 300 too. It’s not like the Greek myths didn’t have enough craziness that could be brought to life with current effects, just watch Jim Henson’s Storyteller (Greek Myth ones) to see.
Harryhausen!
the story of perseus was my favorite myth growing up so when the first movie came out (i must have been 12) i was excited. i’ve read dozens of versions of the perseus myth from the simplest to the most elaborate and i remember feeling so let down by the mythological inconsistencies. as an adult i appreciate the film was made.
i know i have to go into this with a fresh mind…i’m glad its being remade.
