DC has a such a rich tapestry of characters, if WB wanted a war movie taking place in the "future", there are a number of different characters to use. Were the Atomic Knights booked? I guess WB liked the Jonah Hex in the future storyline, realized they already had a Jonah Hex film in production and realized the next best thing would be subbing Sgt Rock with Jonah Hex.
