Major Spoilers Costume Contest

Here it is ladies and gentlemen - the Major Spoilers Costume Contest. Over the last couple of weeks, readers have been sending pictures of themselves dressed as various comic book (and related) characters. The submissions are now closed!
Take the jump to see all the entrants and the top five, then get your vote on!
Interestingly, not a single entry featured anyone dressed as a Marvel character - I’m just saying is all.
Of course there were the Batmen
A Nightwing entry
And the various villains
Who can forget Slacker Green Lantern?
Can’t have a contest without Wonder Woman
Who says Hawkman is a lame character?
I like the Catwoman entry because the entrant took poses directly from the covers.
I don’t know what kind of crew John Constantine is running with these days, but I’m scared…
And then there were non-comic characters like Mario (if you can find him behind the bevy of girls dressed as Invincible characters)
and Optimus Prime (I think one of your “mudflaps” is dangling there bub).
Finally, one of the simplest costumes, but one that makes us laugh.

Which brings us to the finalists.
You have until October 31st to vote for your favorite of the five. Voting takes place in the sidebar to the right!
The winner will be announced November 1st.
Oh, by the way, that cute little pixie adorning the top of this article is Matthew’s daughter getting ready to beat up some boys and steal their candy.

I think that Optimus Prime costume should of made the final five, that person had to put a lot of work into making his costume and the other ones look like there bought. I feel for that kid that made the Prime costume. RECOUNT!!!

Hawkman… Looks very good. Joker would be my runner up. Great Mask and the wings look decent too. Hawkman costume… who’d a thunk it?

The best part of the Prime costume is that you can see a toaster-oven the next room. I guess Optimus was craving some bagel bites or something.

So, how is not getting Marvel entrants anything to do with Stephen?
Also: nobody here hates Marvel… We cover Avengers titles regularly, I’m recapping MODOK’s 11 every issue, we cover Nova, Annihilation, She-Hulk, Thunderbolts, Captain America, Heroes For Hire, Omega The Unknown, New Warriors, Iron Fist, and others.
What you MEAN to say is that we don’t recap Spider-Man, and that’s mostly due to the simple fact that it’s not economical or sensible to do so. :)

Loved the Prime costume, I’m surprised neither bat Made the final cut, those are some sweet bat outfits! I’d wear one to work………… I’d be fired, but damn could you imagine walking into a meeting looking like that………… Heck if I could get a job on the Network team I could walk into meetings and say cool things like
“Storm’s coming. ”
“RA’S Al GOUL is Dead, I watched him die”
“You’re not the devil. You’re practice.”
“Death does not wait for you to be ready! ”
randomly call people “boy wonder”, “Robin”, or the occasional “oh Alfred you wry devil”………..

I think the catman costume should totally win! Not only is it awesome and hot, it almost looks just like cover! Very artsy!

So, what happened with this contest? I know I got nothing on the other four finalists; but I’d like to know who won. Thanks for picking me as a finalist, but I reject the moniker “Slacker Lantern”… it’s Urban Guerrilla Lantern!!!
