The characters dont really feel or look like people from Persia or India. I understand why, but still it would have been nice for the movie to show something more exotic.

I dont know they could sorta pass … remember persian not arab.
Buy yeah why not just get some Persian actors…Well i know the answer to that one (Star factor) … And if Ben Kingsley was considered good enough for Gandhi i dont see the problem there.
But at least they have the authentic English accent.
