With the rumors of a Mac Tablet growing more and more fervent as the speculated date arrives, it’s interesting to see more comic book publishers jumping on board the iTunes distributed bandwagon. There’s been no formal announcement (as of this writing) from Marvel, but quietly, Marvel titles have shown up from digital comic distributors PanelFly, comiXology, and iVerse.

The big company not mentioned here, is the not yet released LongBox application. If, and it’s a big if, the Apple Tablet arrives, this could be the second coming of the electronic book, which means every publisher will be making announcements on look for huge announcements from every publisher to hit by the end of January.

i like reading comics on my iphone, but no way in hell i’m paying for a comic. i paid for the apps to get all the free stuff they have to offer, but that’s it.
and it’s US only apparently, this suck.
oh, and most of them are 1.99$
Even if this is just a fledging outlet, having one of the big 2 on board certainly does go a long way towards legitimizing it.
I’m not really sure why people are so down on paying something for 1.99 when the equivalent physical copy can be as high as 3.99.
