The trailer for Black Lightning hit the Intardwebz some time this past week, and even though it isn’t the DC hero flying about on the screen, the sight of a black Volga flying through the skies being used to fight crime is something to see.  Too bad, I don’t understand a word of it.

This is a story of Moscow University’s student who becomes the owner of ordinary from the first sight, been-used, but… able to fly “Volga” car. With this car he will be able to not only avoid Moscow traffic jams, but unexpectedly for himself turn to city’s defender, mysterious fighter against Evil.

Cool, kind of like morrisson’s new flying batmobile.

Flick looks like fun, hope to see a subtitled version

LOoove the concept, and it sorta has a feel of “Russian Spiderman”.

  • It looks like Russia is starting to get some really good quality into their films. NightWatch, DayWatch, and now Black Lightning. Odd there’s no information about it yet in the English reference sites (Wiki, IMDB, etc.). The movie looks pretty awesome. They probably won’t have a listing in there until someone bothers translating, I bet. I’m definitely gonna have to check out this film if/when it comes to the states.
