While there have been a couple of attempts to tell a Dr. Horrible origin story, the official take on the villain’s past can only be found in the pages of Dr. Horrible #1 from Dark Horse Comics.

Archie to marry Betty Cooper…WHA-HUH!?

This really should come as no surprise, as anyone who read the first issue of the Archie marries Veronica, that the whole story line was a big ol’ What If? story. In fact in one panel, it was clearly shown that Archie took the left fork in the road up Memory Lane, and said he might have to see where the right fork would lead at a later time.

Well that time is Archie #603 that features Archie marrying Betty Cooper, and seeing how life would look like down that other path. Those of you who were upset that Archie chose Veronica, now get their voices heard in the upcoming issue.

The books are selling like hotcakes at our store despite the god awful art. I’m sorry, but could Archie Comics not find a better artist on these books considering what a big event it is?
